Here is a video on proper and improper fractions. I had some help from my favorite 4-year-old. Please make sure you take notes that make sense - use pictures, words, and numbers. Have fun!

Why I'm Flipping my Classroom
Dear Parents,
This one's for you! Please watch and come to parent-teacher conferences next week prepared to talk about how I'm "flipping my classroom." I value your feedback and can't wait to hear what you have to say.

Decomposing a Fraction
Here is a video from Khan Academy that I have recorded for you about "decomposing" fractions. I love the word "decompose." It means to separate something into parts.

Division withTwo-digit Divisors
Hello 4th graders! I would like you to watch two videos about division with double digit divisors - the first is me talking you through a division problem while estimating. See if you can catch the mistake I made when I divided 15 into 85 (hint - it has to do with my estimation/rounding). I'll give you a piece of candy if you write the mistake down correctly on your note sheet. :)
By the way, I did make another mistake when I assigned the practice problem (eek! so many mistakes - I'm just getting used to this, I apologize!) The mistake that you must catch to earn your candy is when I divided 85 by 15, not the practice problem. (This is in the youtube video).
